Clinton Campaign Chair: 'The American People Can Handle The Truth' On UFOs
April 7, 2016
From: http://www.cnn.com

There has long been an air of conspiracy surrounding theories of alien life, and the head of Hillary Clinton's campaign said Thursday it's time to do away with the secrecy. CNN's Jake Tapper pulled aside Clinton campaign chair John Podesta, who was a guest on "The Lead," to talk aliens.

"The U.S. government could do a much better job in answering the quite legitimate questions that people have about what's going on with unidentified aerial phenomena," Podesta said. Read more

Gravitational Waves Detected, Confirming Einstein's Theory
February 11, 2016
From: http://www.nytimes.com

A team of scientists announced on Thursday that they had heard and recorded the sound of two black holes colliding a billion light-years away, a fleeting chirp that fulfilled the last prediction of Einstein's general theory of relativity.

That faint rising tone, physicists say, is the first direct evidence of gravitational waves, the ripples in the fabric of space-time that Einstein predicted a century ago. It completes his vision of a universe in which space and time are interwoven and dynamic, able to stretch, shrink and jiggle. And it is a ringing confirmation of the nature of black holes, the bottomless gravitational pits from which not even light can escape, which were the most foreboding (and unwelcome) part of his theory. Boy, 4, Recalls Past Life With Intimate Details
February 5, 2016
From: http://www.wusa9.com

Can reincarnation be scientifically proven? Dr. Jim Tucker, a University of Virginia psychiatrist, researches cases of children who remember past lives.

"It doesn't involve hypnosis or anything like that," explains Dr. Tucker.

The children are usually around two or three years old when they become verbal and start talking about another person. In the strongest cases, the details have turned out to match the life of somebody who died in the past.

"I think there's a lot we don't know about," says Tucker. Read more

UFO Captured? Man Says He Has Proof
December 23, 2015
From: http://www.news-leader.com

For nearly two years Dr. Richard O'Connor has kept two cameras pointed at the sky with the deep hope and belief that something might be out there. And then, after nearly 280,000 photos captured by motion detection, it happened. Or maybe not.

But O'Connor's findings of what he believes are two unidentified flying objects has set off a barrage of email exchanges, some of them angry, in the community of UFO fans and experts. Read more

Bright Spots On Ceres Aren't Signs Of Alien Civilizations, Studies Say
December 10, 2015
From: http://www.npr.org

The mysterious bright spots glowed from Ceres' dark surface like alien headlights, capturing many Earthlings' imaginations. But researchers say they're the result of mineral salts, citing data captured by NASA's Dawn mission to study the dwarf planet.

While the findings will likely dampen speculation over the spots, they also portray Ceres as a complex planet -- one that may be holding a reserve of ice. Read more

Loch Ness Monster Sightings Hit 13-year High
December 9, 2015
From: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com

There have been more sightings of the fabled monster this year than at any time over the last decade. Despite growing skepticism over the existence of the legendary creature, visitors to the famous Scottish lake have continued to report fresh sightings over the last twelve months.

Gary Campbell, keeper of the Official Loch Ness Monster Sightings Register, has stated that while most of the sightings can be explained, five have gone down on record as genuinely intriguing. Read more

McKinnon Found Evidence Of 'Space Warships'
December 8, 2015
From: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com

UFO hacker Gary McKinnon has revealed details of what he allegedly found in NASA's computer systems. The British hacker, who in 2002 was found guilty of the "biggest military computer hack of all time", has spoken out about his efforts to find evidence of government cover-ups relating to UFOs.

The 49-year-old, who was spared extradition to the US three years ago, told RichPlanet TV that he had discovered evidence of a secret space program run by the United States Navy.

"I scanned and looked for documents, I found an Excel spreadsheet which said, 'Non-terrestrial officers'," he said. "It had ranks and names. It had tabs for 'material transfer' between ships. I took that to be, they must have ships based in space - the names started with U.S.S." Read more

Huge Geometric Shapes In Middle East May Be Prehistoric
December 1, 2015
From: http://www.livescience.com

Thousands of stone structures that form geometric patterns in the Middle East are coming into clearer view, with archaeologists finding two wheel-shaped patterns date back some 8,500 years. That makes these "wheels" older than the famous geoglyphs in Peru called Nazca Lines. And some of these giant designs located in Jordan's Azraq Oasis seem to have an astronomical significance, built to align with the sunrise on the winter solstice. Read more

Egypt on Saturday said there is a 90 percent chance that hidden chambers will be found within King Tutankhamun's tomb, based on the preliminary results of a new exploration of the 3,300-year-old mausoleum.

Researchers say the discovery of a new chamber could shine new light on one of ancient Egypt's most turbulent times, and one prominent researcher has theorized that the remains of Queen Nefertiti might be inside. Read more

Astronomers have discovered a dwarf planet located three times further away from the sun than Pluto.

Known as V774104, this tiny world exists at the very edge of our solar system where it lurks in the cold and darkness over 100 times further out than the distance from the Earth to the sun. Read more

Mars' Atmosphere Stripped by Solar Winds, NASA Says
November 5, 2015
From: http://www.nytimes.com

The planet's early atmosphere is thought to have been as thick as or thicker than Earth's today, and even over the 4.5-billion-year history of the solar system, that slow leak would not explain how it atrophied to its current wisps.

But new readings from NASA's Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution mission -- Maven, for short -- show that when Mars is hit by a solar storm, the ferocious bombardment of particles from the sun strips away the upper atmosphere much more quickly. Read more

Appeals Court Blocks Pesticide Use Over Concerns About Bees
September 11, 2015
From: http://bigstory.ap.org

A federal appeals court Thursday blocked the use of a pesticide over concerns about its effect on honey bees, which have mysteriously disappeared across the country in recent years.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency did not adequately study the pesticide sulfoxaflor before approving its use in 2013 on a wide variety of crops, including citrus and cotton, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said. Read more

Prehistoric 'Frankenvirus' Mollivirus Sibericum Uncovered In Siberian Permafrost
September 9, 2015
From: http://www.smh.com.au

Scientists have revived a giant virus that has lain frozen under the Siberian tundra for 30,000 years. But the French researchers who discovered the long-dormant virus have warned that climate change has the potential to awaken more disease-causing viruses in the Arctic.

The virus is called Mollivirus sibericum, which means soft Siberian virus, but lay observers have quickly dubbed it "Frankenvirus". In the world of viruses it is a monster, with 523 genetic proteins. The genome of the influenza virus, by comparison, encodes just 11 genetic proteins. Read more

A "Superhenge" 5 Times Size Of Stonehenge Discovered Underground At U. K.'s Durrington Walls
September 7, 2015
From: https://www.earthfiles.com

Durington Walls, a couple of miles northeast of 5,000-year-old Stonehenge, has now been discovered by gradiometers, which measure magnetic variations underground, to have nearly 100 large standing sarsen stones in a line pattern. Some of the sarsen stones were 15 feet (4.5 m) long. The theory now is that Stonehenge and Durrington Walls were one large complex of avenues and standing stones used for mysterious rituals that might have involved the "journey from life to death."
